WEDNESDAY WORD: On a trial basis, we are introducing a weekly gospel resource for our children to take home to help families come together each week, to read and talk about the Gospel. The leaflets are normally distributed through our Diocesan schools on a Wednesday, hence the name, for the forthcoming Sunday. Since our Parish is not able to do this, we will be distributing the leaflets on the Sunday before. Any feedback would be appreciated.

ROTAS: The rotas for April-June will be prepared shortly. If you wish to avoid particular dates, please email the office.

We currently need one reader for Sunday morning, several for Saturday evening, as well as help with offertory counting, refreshments, flowers and cleaning.

GRASS CUTTING: We need some volunteers to cut the grass in the Church grounds every 2/3 weeks from now until the end of October. There are no other duties involved, just grass cutting. A lawn mower is available as well as a garden recycling bin.

PARISH COUNCIL: The Parish Council meets on Tuesday, 23rd March. If you wish a particular item to be placed on the agenda, then email the office by Wednesday, 17th March.

Catholic Faith Exploration:just a few more details on the Parish’s first ever CaFE course entitled “Believe – Reflections on the Creed”. CaFE courses are ideal for all Catholic adults to learn, share and pray together in a relaxed, “cafe” style atmosphere. The course will be held on Thursday evenings, from Easter to Pentecost (six weeks only), starting 15th April. We have invited our fellow Catholics from Thrapston and Raunds to join us in this new venture. Please keep the dates free – more details to follow soon.

CAFOD – GIVE IT UP: We still have a few envelopes left if you wish to take part in CAFOD’SGIVE IT UP!  campaign. All you need do is give something up for the whole of Lent and donate the money saved to CAFOD. CAFOD then uses that money to help transform the lives of people living in poverty around the world. Take an envelope home today and return it at the end of Lent. Make it go further by filling out the gift aid declaration.

COLLECTIONS: Last week’s offertory £274, plus £347 in standing orders. The second collection in aid of CAFOD raised £295 and included £100 raised by the Parish Coffee Group. Thank you for your generosity.
